Provost Elementary School

At a school board meeting today, the Provo City School District Board of Education further discussed the move to Phase 2 of the Return to School Plan. After reviewing the most up-to-date data in Provo, Utah County, the state and the school district. The board voted to delay the proposed plan to move elementary schools to Phase 2 by one week.

Elementary schools will now transition to Phase 2 of the Return to School Plan on Monday, September 28. This date will be the date for the switch unless otherwise communicated. The district will continue to monitor data each day and will communicate any adjustments as needed.

The school board also discussed when secondary schools might move to Phase 2. Tentatively, the school board has targeted Monday, October 5 as the transition date. A final determination will be made and announced closer to that date. On behalf of the board of education and district administration, thank you to parents, students, teachers, staff for your patience during the time. It is a dynamic situation that requires everyone to be nimble and adjust as needed. As a community, let’s work together to help limit the spread of COVID-19.

Thank you.
