Parents and Guardians,
As we enter the fall and winter seasons, we need to be prepared for inclement weather and the district would like to ensure that everyone is aware of the ways in which we will communicate information if an adjustment to the school day is needed.
As the first step in this process, the district plans to run a test of the communication process this week to provide parents an opportunity to verify that they are receiving communication from the district. This process will culminate with a test phone call, email and text being sent to all parents at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17.
Later this week, prior to the test call, text and email, additional information will be shared with directions for what to do if you do not receive the test communication. This information will be shared on all district and school websites and social media channels, as well as through email.
As this information is shared, we also invite everyone to help us spread the word so that as many people as possible can be aware of this process. We hope that this will allow us to better communicate with our families and provide parents an opportunity to address any issues that may prevent them from receiving these communications.
