Provost Elementary School

Provost is excited to welcome Mary Wade as a new 5th grade teacher this upcoming school year!

Mrs. Wade previously taught fifth grade for 4 years right after graduating from BYU in 2010. She then spent a few years at home with her own three kids, before returning to the school system to teach kindergarten for a year, But her heart remained in fifth grade, and she is thrilled to be back!

One of her favorite things about 5th grade is the precious stories they share together. “I believe every child’s story and voice matters and my goal as a teacher and a learner is for us all to find and embrace our unique purposes to grow, contribute, & fill the world with light.”

Mrs. Wade also loves hiking and recently hiked Mount Timpanogos Summit with her daughter. You may also see her around the neighborhood on her cargo bike, rain or shine, or rock climbing in Rock Canyon. She also loves camping, and of course reading! Her most recent favorite book is, “When Stars Are Scattered” by Victoria Jamieson.

Mrs. Wade lives and teaches by her favorite quote: “Stories are light. Light is precious in a world so dark. Begin at the beginning. Make some light.” ~Kate Dicamillo.

Thank you Mrs. Wade for choosing Provost as the place to share your own stories and light. It’s a fantastic place to be with some of the best students in the world. We welcome you with open arms and hope you feel our deep appreciation for the talent and wisdom you are bringing with you to our school. We can’t wait to learn from you!
