Hey Provost, Mrs. Kepford’s 5th grade class learned about natural hazards that occur around the world, like floods, earthquakes and volcanoes. Part of their lesson was to brainstorm solutions for one of these natural hazards which was flooding.

The 5th graders separated into small groups, brainstormed solutions for protecting against a flood, and then went to work experimenting their solutions by building their own flood-resistant foundations.

Great work Mrs. Kepford’s 5th grade class!
