Hey Provost, guess what Mrs. Buck’s 5th grade class did during their science lesson? They learned about the different properties of matter (solid, liquid, gas) and then they all divided into small groups and were given an assignment to identify four mystery substances. They looked at color, texture, smell, solubility (can it be dissolved or liquefied) and reactivity with vinegar and iodine to help each group figure out what type of matter each one was.
