Provost Elementary School

Hey Provost, meet Miss Bobbie Wood.

Miss Wood has been teaching 2nd grade at Provost Elementary for 30 years! She grew up in a small town in central Utah, named Holden, that has a population of about 500 people.   It was wonderful to grow up in a place where everyone knew everyone.

Miss Wood always loved school so teaching seemed like the obvious career choice. She loves picture books written by James Marshall. Some of her favorite chapter books are Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Shiloh, and Wayside School. In the summer she loves to golf, work in her yard, read books, and work on projects.

Joe Banditos is one of Miss Wood’s favorite restaurants. Miss Wood and her sister live in the same neighborhood so they have a lot of fun together. The best thing about teaching school is that something funny happens every day that makes her laugh!

We are so grateful to have Miss Wood as a teacher at Provost. She is constantly making us laugh with her stories. She loves her students and they thrive under her stewardship. Thank you Miss Wood for all the amazing things you do for Provost!
