Hey Provost, our 4th graders took a field trip up to Salt Lake City and spent the day at the “This Is The Place” Monument where they learned about the pioneer settlers of Utah and how they lived long ago in the rough and untamed high desert of mountains. The 4th graders got to experience what it would be like to pull a handcart, learn lessons in a pioneer school, learn about what a pioneer blacksmith would do during the day, and even got to ride on a train around the monument.

Our 4th graders had a great time learning about the early pioneer history of the state of Utah!
