Hey Provost, our 6th graders put on an awesome show for the school by setting up a launch pad out on the blacktop and launching their rockets high up into the air. Each 6th grader joined a group or a partnership and worked on building and designing their own rockets, including a little parachute placed inside of the rocket tube that releases when the rocket begins to fall.

Our totally amazing 6th grade teachers Mrs. Cobia and Mr. Sprunger helped each group get their rockets in place on the launch pad, handed the launch controller to the 6th graders, and then led the students in a countdown from 5 as we all watched the rocket launch into the air.

It was a great experience for all of us who were there; great job to our awesome 6th graders!
