Provost Elementary School

Hey Provost, meet Miss Sierra Rassmussen. She’s one of our new kindergarten teachers and this is the first school that she has taught at.

Miss Rassmussen has known for a long time that she wanted to be a teacher because she loves little children, especially when those children are students.

Miss Rassmussen said that she gets so happy when a student learns something knew every day.

Miss Rassmussen is not from Utah, she’s from a place in California called El Dorado Hills.

When she was asked about something funny that has ever happened to her, she said, “One summer day I took my nieces to a busy park. I ended up going down the slide first to see if it was too hot for them. It was a good thing I went down before they did because the slide was so hot it burned the backside of my leggings off. Lets just say it was a long walk back to the house with everyone at the park and even my nieces laughing at me…”

Miss Rassmussen also loves to eat anything that has noodles, especially her mom’s homemade spaghetti, and she loves to read Harry Potter books, Anne of Green Gables books and books from Way of Kings book series.

We are so grateful to have Miss Rassmussen as a part of our Provost family and we look forward to getting to know her better this year.
