Japanese Elementary School

In June Mrs. Cannon visited a small school in the countryside of Japan near the city of Matsuyama. It was surrounded by rice fields and beautiful hillsides. The principal graciously allowed me to visit with the 2nd grade students and watch them working. He took me on a tour of the school. Below are some pictures of some of the school.

Early in the year we learned briefly about Japan during one of our homework parties. In the next couple of weeks we are going to write a letter to the school in Japan and send a picture of our class. The students in this school all study English and many of their teachers speak it well. Hopefully we will be able to hear back from them and continue our correspondence with them.
