About Ms. Ward

Ms. Ward LOVES teaching First Grade!  This year will be her TWENTY FIRST year teaching elementary education!  She graduated from Southern Utah University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in 1985 and  from Northern Arizona University with her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2011.

Some of Ms. Ward’s favorite things are her family, her students, her flower and vegetable garden, reading, and all types of animals.  Ms. Ward has three children and two grandsons. Yay!  Her students become part of her family, so she keeps track of them forever!  She loves to hear from past students.

Ms. Ward has been known as the “Doctor Doolittle” of her past schools.  Somehow, all of the injured birds and small animals found on the playground make their way to her classroom.  What fun Learning Adventures!

Ms. Ward moved back to Utah from Gilbert, AZ in 2015.   She is so happy to be able to teach at Provost Elementary School where her mother, Marsha Whatcott, taught for thirty-two years.  PROVOST IS  THE BEST SCHOOL IN UTAH!
